Postwatch
Postwatch is the watchdog for postal services and it is independent of Post Office Ltd and the government. Whilst Postwatch does not have the power to overrule the Post Office, its views on a closure have to be taken into account.

District Councils
Your local district council will be submitting information to the Post Office consultation. You may wish to contact them to assist them with their understanding of local issues.  If you copy your representation to the contacts below, they will use this information (in anonymised form) to compile evidence on your behalf to sent to your MP, your elected councillor, and to Postwatch to save you sending out multiple copies.  (see our advice on making representations for more details)
