Greensand Ridge and Chilterns Investment Programmes
Calling farmers, tourism and other rural businesses and
community groups in the Greensand Ridge and Chilterns LEADER
areas. In December 2008, the Greensand Ridge and
Chilterns Local Action Groups published their investment
prospectuses for £2.4m and £4.8m of grant aid available
under the LEADER scheme – part of the Rural Development
Programme for England.

Greensand Ridge
Bedfordshire Rural Affairs Forum, working with BRCC, coordinated
a bid for the Greensand Ridge area
to benefit from new EU funding.
BRCC has been appointed by the Greensand
Ridge Local Action Group to support the marketing of this
prospectus and management of its associated investment fund
over the next 5 years.

Chilterns
The Chilterns LEADER area largely follows the AONB
boundary but also includes rural areas to the west of
Dunstable and Houghton Regis. It includes some or all of the
parishes of: Studham, Whipsnade, Kensworth, Caddington,
Totternhoe, Chalton, Sundon, Streatley and Barton Le Clay.
